After a nearly 15 hour flight, I made it to Joberg's OR Tambo Airport. I did manage to sleep a little bit on the long flight and luckily no one was sitting in the middle seat, so I could stretch my legs out and watch great BBC documentaries.
My hotel, The City Lodge is close to the airport and all the local places to shop and eat as advertised are for the most found in the US. There are so many museums I wish I could visit here, but maybe during another trip.
Had a luggage scare. My two checked in bags, both EXTREMELY important apparently are checked all the way to Windhoek and not to be picked up in Joberg. Big relief.
